Hi, I’m Zeus

I’m a very wonderful red Doberman - once I take a few minutes to sniff you out and take a couple of treats - then I’m your forever buddy. I like to lie on my bed and watch the world go by but throw my squeaky toy and I’ll chase and retrieve. I have that Doberman lean down to a fine art and if you’ll rub my ears then my tail will wag & wag amp; wag and I'll melt into you. I just want to please my owner.

My previous home did not abuse me, but money became tight and then they neglected to feed me – I had to eat my toys! I came into rescue 20+ pounds underweight and pooping bits of rubber ball – but fortunately all my medicals are really good, I must have really good genes. Now I’m a comfortable 74 pounds, sleek & beautiful.

I do well on walks, not reactive to other people or dogs - just what you would expect from a well mannered Dobe. I’ve seen cats – yes they look interesting but I’m happy to leave them alone. I don’t have a lot of tricks, but I do know sit & like to cuddle – and I work well for food so we’re working on my recall. Last month I spent two weeks with a relief foster home – they had two rat terriers we had lots of wonderful play time!
