Lindy is lucky to have been found by KCK Animal Control and that they sought medical attention for her – she had to have an emergency spay. After her surgery the Humane Society discovered she had heartworms. And . . . nobody looked for their lost dog.

We were contacted and have the privilege to foster and find a new home for this little girl. Our vet says that she is less than 2 and has had at least one litter.

She has been on pre-treatment antibiotics for an month now and will start her for heartworm treatment soon. Once treated she has 6 weeks of leash walking with no running playing etc.

She is currently only 57 lbs. up 3 lbs from when she arrived. When fully grown she should not be over 60 lbs. She’s building muscle tone and growing hair! As she is a Blue Doberman we have added Melatonin to her supplements.

She’s a VERY happy girl, optimistic and full of joy. She likes other dogs, big and small. Her happiness is contagious. She keeps her crate tidy. Sometimes we find one shoe or several toys hidden under her blanket – treasures that she has saved.
